About Bulgaria
The Republic of Bulgaria is situated in Southeastern Europe, in the Eastern part of the Balkan Peninsula. For centuries all the major routes connecting Europe with Asia and Africa have passed through here. Four European transport corridors, connecting Western and Northern Europe with the Eastern and Southern part of the continent cross each other on Bulgarian territory.
Our country is also famous for its beautiful nature. Although Bulgaria is comparatively small (with a total territory of 110 993.6 m2), its terrain is varied. Wide plains, rolling hills and high mountains can all be found here.
Wide beach lines and beautiful rocky shores form the Bulgarian Black Sea coastline.
